Date & Walnut Choco Wheat Pancakes
No refined flour, no refined sugar, pancake sweetened with dates
Ingredients :
Dates (Medjool dates ) pitted – 100 gms
Hot milk/plant based milk – 3/4th cup
Melted butter – 1/4th cup
Whole Wheat flour – 1/2 cup
Baking soda – 1/2 tsp
Baking powder – 1/4th tsp
Salt – a pinch
Vinegar – 1/2 tsp
Cinnamon 1/4th tsp or Vanilla essence – 1 tsp
Melted chocolate or Choco Almond Butter for garnish
Chopped Walnuts
Method :
– Soak pitted dates in hot milk for 15 mins or till they become soft & make a fine pulp
– Add melted butter in the dates pulp & whisk for 2 mins.
– Add the sieved dry ingredients & combine till lump free
– Add vinegar & vanilla essence & combine
– Brush the pan with butter, pour in the pancake batter
– Cook as shown in video at medium flame on both sides.
